EDH's new release comes from the outer reaches of synthetic pop, from the same sonic netherworlds as Kraftwerk or DMX Krew. In her recordings or during her performances, Emmanuelle de Hericourt's layered vocalizing creates a "présence phantomatique", simultaneously rattling the ghost of French pop while leading one to imagine the Cocteau Twins being tortured by Aphex Twin.
